General terms and conditions of business

Below we would like to present our General Terms and Conditions, which we use as the basis for processing and handling your purchase.

1. Conclusion of contract
The customer's order constitutes an offer. A contract is only formed upon our acceptance. Customers will be notified of our acceptance via email. An order is only possible if all required fields are completed. If information is missing or we are unable to fulfill the order for other reasons, customers will receive an error message. Before final submission, customers have the opportunity to correct their order. Supporting details are provided to customers directly during the ordering process. Once the order is complete, customers will be notified via an information window. This notification does not yet constitute acceptance of the customer's offer on our part.

1.1. Acknowledgement of receipt
Once we receive your order, you will be notified of its receipt via the email address you provided. This notification does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer on our part.

1.2. Contract language
Contracts are concluded exclusively in German.

2nd prizes
All prices are total prices. They include all taxes, including VAT and duties, as well as shipping costs.

3. Payment
We generally offer the following payment methods: prepayment, credit card, invoice, eps online transfer, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and PayPal. We reserve the right to not offer certain payment methods for any given order and to refer you to other payment options. Please note that we only accept payments from accounts within the European Union (EU). Any transaction fees are your responsibility.
You agree to receive invoices and credit notes exclusively in electronic form.
Any refunds will be automatically processed to the account you used for payment. If you paid via PayPal or credit card, the refund will be issued to the associated PayPal or credit card account.

4. Cancellation Policy
Consumers have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), take possession of the goods, or, in the case of partial deliveries, the last delivery.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us – inventa Networks GmbH, yubikey-shop.at, Millstätter Straße 8a/24, 9523 Villach-Landskron, Austria, or via email to office@inventa-networks.at – of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but this is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification of exercising your right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs incurred if you chose a delivery method other than our cheapest standard delivery option), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we received your notification of withdrawal. For this reimbursement, we will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You must return the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. You will bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

4.1 Loss of the right of withdrawal
Since a YubiKey is a security product containing software (=security token) for identifying and authenticating personal accounts, the right of withdrawal is void if the product has been unsealed after delivery. We cannot accept returns of goods that are not in their original packaging!

You have the right to inspect the ordered goods as you would in a physical store. This right of inspection does not include opening the sealed packaging or taking samples.

Individually designed products (e.g. designs created with the Cover Designer) are generally excluded from return and right of withdrawal , as these are manufactured according to customer specifications and are clearly tailored to personal needs.

B2B customers (business customers) are excluded from returns and cancellations.

Compatibility disclaimer
We assume no liability or warranty for the compatibility of the YubiKey with specific services, platforms, or systems. The customer is responsible for verifying compatibility. Please check the respective system requirements and integration options directly with the relevant service provider before purchasing.

For some products, we indicate currently known compatibility with certain services (e.g., Google, Microsoft, ID Austria, etc.). This information is based on the status at the time of the product description. Since the technical requirements and integrations can be changed at any time by the respective service providers, we assume no liability or warranty for this.

5. Warranty
The statutory warranty provisions apply. The warranty period for the delivery of movable goods is two years from the date of receipt.
Complaints based on statutory warranty claims or other grievances can be made using the contact details provided in the legal notice.

6. Cover Designer
Inventa Networks GmbH offers a cover designer that allows customers to create individual designs. The following terms and conditions apply to the use of this service:

6.1 Responsibility for content
The customer is solely responsible for all content uploaded or used via the Cover Designer. This includes images, graphics, text, or other materials.

6.2 Quality of content
The customer is responsible for the quality of the content used, including spelling, image sharpness, image quality, and design. Inventa Networks GmbH does not perform any technical checks or corrections.

6.3 Copyright and trademark rights
By submitting content for use in the Cover Designer, the customer confirms that they possess all necessary copyrights, trademark rights, or other rights to this content. Inventa Networks GmbH assumes no liability for third-party claims regarding copyright-infringing content and shall indemnify the customer against all claims that may arise from such infringement.

6.4 Illegal content
The customer warrants that the uploaded content does not violate any applicable criminal laws. Inventa Networks GmbH reserves the right to refuse orders or remove content that it becomes aware is unlawful.

7. Retention of title
The goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.
